I agree, those flimsy aluminium ones are really of no use when beating the other half. The cast ones are much better.

Thing is, if someone had their cutters on your kn*b, you wouldn't whack 'em on the head with anything, let alone a pan. You certainly wouldn't smack their noggin hard enough to break their cheek bone.... ouch.
