Newbie seeking oil advice

Hi all,
I've just bought an a3 140 tdi 2006 car,on checking the oil level it looks a bit low so instead of buying a 1litre top up i'm gonna do an oil change,
my question is has anybody used Mobil 1 ESP 5-30? or can reccomend a good alternative.

if it says 506.01 or 507.00 only (shell helix is what you get from audi) you can use any oil that states 506.01 or 507.00 or states for "Pumpe-Düse" (unit injector or "PD" engines) do not use anything else! apart from..audi, vw or seat/skoda sell these oils and may find em cheaper than the audi dealership.
