Newbie question Interior lights

Hi recently spotted that my interior lights do not come when doors are opened, nor when unlocking.. Any ideas?

There is a switch in the overhead position that you need to have on.

Tried that one.. Neither switch makes any difference. There are 2 overhead switches. Very odd!

Try touching the lights themselves. You can switch them on that way and I haven't figured out how that interacts with the overhead switch kestrel refers to. If no joy, consult Mr Dealer in case there is some fault.

Tried that one too wideboy. All very bizarre. Dealer had a look but lots of head scratching. Booked in for 7 November hopefully with an R8 Loan car

I had this issue when I collected my car. Confused them at the dealer too - turns out the interior lights use the headlights light sensors and only switch on when unlocking/opening the doors when its dark outside - i.e they don't come on in the day.

Lucky it's getting darker during the day so I'm seeing more and more of the ambient lighting!
