Newbie looking to be an Audi A3 owner

Hi All,

New to the forum, my car has just recently been written off so now on the market for a new car.
The A3 is what I've chosen to go for, so currently hunting a decent one down.
Looking for the s-line version, one that is 2007 upwards, 2 litre diesel, manual, under 100k.

Any advice on which is best to go for i.e. 170, 140 bhp, what are the common faults to look out for, or generally any buying advice on one of these cars would be great as I had my last car for about 5 years so not bought a car in ages.

Welcome along! Great choice in your new car. Take a good browse through the A3 section on the forum and you'll soon be up on the knowledge on them. On bhp depends on your fancy and usage of the car. I had a 2012 1.6 diesel which was 105bhp and was actually pretty fun and very good on fuel. Drove lovely as well.

Cheers mate, will do, been reading up bit confusing as there's so many variations of the car.
