Just subscribed to this forum and this thread. Being an owner of recently purchased A6 this thread caught my eye. Some greats mods.
Could I just ask, how did the rear pillar scratch removal go? My recent purchase needs a bit of tidying up as the car is need of a caring owner....

Sorry only noticed your reply. To remove the scratches you really need to use a DA polisher with a decent cutting compound. Ideally mask off the area first And it should only take a few swipes with the polisher.

Just a little update.. Changed the Oil cap for an OEM R8 one, also changed the coolant cap for a black item as well as the washer fluid cap as well.

Not updated in a while... Had the alloys refurbished in one solid colour. Look black in the photos but they're a custom Anthricite with pearl effect.

Hi all, so been quite a busy 2019 so far...
Firstly I removed the bonnet stripes and red pin stripe on front and rear.
I also fitted some Maxton Design side/rear skirts to help the over all look.
And lastly I finally removed the DTUK box that was giving me major issues with it going into Limp mode and boost failure issues.
But I've opted for a Stage one Software from MRC Scotland in Bonnybridge soon to be Falkirk.
Now running 390ps (385bhp) and 810nm torque.
Car is a completely different animal now! Pulls so well in all gears it's actually frighteningly quick now

I nearly did the same thing, but after a test drive in a S8, a fortnight in something orange and a month in my old man's 640bhp XFR I decided I wanted something more agile...

We did but the kids are 3 and 5. The GT-R is not for anyone that wants people to look at your positively. They either think you are a T w a t in a loud annoying car or are envious of your loud annoying car. And therefore thjnk you are a ****.
The pristine car in the photo was a mates that I helped him sell, within a week the idiot that bought it smashed it.

Hey (sorry I’m a little late to the party), but your build was amazing! I’m just wondering what maxton parts you got as the rear bumper extension?
On their website they’re listed as only fitting the avant for the pre-facelift model, but I’ve been suspecting that they fit the saloon too.
