Afternoon all,
Thought I'd introduce myself to the C7 subsection
I've recently sold my beloved C6 and changed to the C7... It's a 2013 3.0 BiTDi Black Edition in Daytona Grey... Some nice bits added like the Matrix Led lights, heated seats, park assist, technology pack etc... Anyways here are some pics

Start with the old

Welcome to BiTdi ownership. I'm loving mine after 9 months or so, and keeping my mods subtle to make the car unique. Considered a C6 prior to my purchase, so I'd be interested in your thoughts on how they compare?

Going to keep mines subtle also...
I feel the C7 is much more comfier than the C6. Especially the ride it's no where near as harsh... Even with the 20" Rotors.. The C6 tram lined a lot! But reading up on it that could have been my tyre choice (Continental Sport 3). The C6 was slightly longer as well I believe but the C7 is bigger inside! We test drove a number of cars... My favourite being the 640D Grand Coupe but we quickly had to rule it out due to practicality issues, the rear middle seat was only suitable if you had a pencil bum! Lol... Or if you has two baby seats they take up the whole back row... We then tried the BMW F10 535D.. Which was nice but for piece of mind we went for the Quattro as the Scottish weather is pretty pants!
Interior on the C7 is really nice also and leaps and bounds ahead of the BMW IMHO...

My C7 tramlines on uneven surfaces running on 19s with Conti's on all round. It's not major, just does it now and again. I have a set of 20s to go on after next week, so that should be fun! :)

Reading on some forums the Conti's are apparently bad for it.. I'm running Pirelli PZEROS at 255/35/20 and so far no complaints
Pics once your 20's have been fitted!

I removed the rear badges bar the rings today! I do prefer a clean look...
Also removed the number plates so I could remove all the sticky pad residue in preparation for my shorter number plates!
Cut and polished back

I considered Pirelli's, they was £40 cheaper, but I've always been a Continental tyre man, they are quite handy in the wet. The Sport Contact 5s are suppose to be pretty good all rounder!

Tyres will always be a personal choice! Once you find a brand you tend to stick to them...

My brother in law is a lead engineer at JLR and he was asking me which tyres I was running on (P-Zeros) and if I knew how expensive they were. When I suggested I could replace them with a different brand he said it will have been designed and tested on those brand tyres and I should go with the manufacturers recommended tyre to get the best out of the car. Incidentally he's driving an XFS 3L v6 petrol at the moment - he gets a brand new jag or land rover every 6 months as part of his package - lucky sod.

Wouldn't get too hung up on what's fitted as they keep changing the type. Mine came with Bridgestone Turanzas which must be the worse tyres I have ever had. Quickly changed them for Michelin. Wife had a loan car last month and it had Hankooks. Audi seem to chop and change OE tyres quite often.

First of a couple of purchases...

A boot liner! Function and practicality first I'm afraid

So done a few jobs yesterday morning! Firstly removed the silver S-Line badges for gloss black ones...
Then changed the Alloy wheel centre caps to black ones as the old ones were tired looking.
I also replaced the rear Audi rings with gloss black items!
And finally fitted some Heko wind deflectors...

I like the wind deflectors. Were they an easy fit?
Yes very easy... Literally took 10 minutes for all of them!

Cool, can you confirm I can undo the plate on the front calipers for painting, and it's OK to drive around with them off? Cheers

Love the look of your car. Im looking at getting blacks rings myself. Is my early 2011 a6 a c6 or c7 chassis?

Had the wheels refurbished today! Used a mobile service so all done at the comfort of my own home... Went for a two tone paint job as apposed to diamond cutting due to durability! Very happy with the end results... And it looks like a factory finish!

looks great .

I normally go graphite or black for calipers as I find red leads your eye away from the stunning alloys

Quite like the red for the theme I'm heading for! Got a couple of other plans in mind...

Cars at the body shop just now sorting out the front bumper.. When I purchased the car it had a 5p sized ding on the bottom edge and the dealer agreed to fix it!

However before it went I applied a red pin stripe along the rear valance. Not sure about it though! But I'll do the same on the front once it's back on a splitter also and see if it ties in well...

I think the red stripe might work better if the rear diffuser was black maybe? Car looks great though

It would also need red lips on those rotors to complete the look. Saw an AMG Merc with green lipped rims and green pin strips on the rear diffuser and front grill. Looked good!

I like the wheels in Gloss Black, my A4 had the graphite OEM and I agree the diamond cut might look good but it is s fickle finish, corrosion caught on pretty damn quick!

Nice. Can I ask where you got them from and how much they were?
I assume it was just the cover rather than the whole unit?
Not sure what the unit will be for my C7.5 but looking to do something similar.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/201613384430

They are just caps, I chose these as opposed to replacements as it's easily reversible! They also fit the C7.5
I was going to get them wrapped but couldn't because of the small channels at the top.
