New to Audi

Hi all just got my Audi A7 2017. I'd like to update the satnav as it has 2016 maps, but it seems so complicated. I've read things on the internet that say you have to update the mmi before you can update the maps. There also seems a lot of jargon, talking about coding this coding that and hidden greens menus. Frankly a bit lost by it all. Any help appreciated.

It might come to that, just trying to do it cheaper. I updated the Mercedes sat nav, but that was just a case of downloading the latest maps and loading onto an SD card.
