If you think priemum fuel doesn't make a difference, try putting a couple of litres of Asda unleaded in a near empty tank (an emergency after delivery issues by Shell).

Car still shudders if we go near an Asda!

Nope .. Shell V power / nitro is defo 98 ron.

Standard Shell Unleaded or any unleaded for that matter in the UK is 95 ron.

Only tesco momentum is 99 ron.

All the other super unleaded fuels are 97 ron.

I apologise it appears that the shell v power is 99 Ron after all.

It was shell optimax which was 98 Ron after researching.

So they upped the Ron rating with v power / nitro.

I wonder how anybody knows? Shell are unique in refusing to display this information on their forecourts. The staff at my Shell garage don't know the RON either. Neither can I find it anywhere on Shell's website. Bizarre.
