New S3 sportback - Swithced live

OK,

Does anyone know where to get a switched live from for my aftermarket head unit?

I have used the CTSAD002 CAN-BUS adapter with built in stalk control, and there seems to be no live to the red wire, at all. how does the normal stereo know when to turn off?

Any help would really be great as I am pulling my hair out.!!!

The stereo gets a signal over the CANBUS to turn off which is why you can't find a switched live in the quadlock.

Looking at this link, it would suggest that the adapter you have provides a switched live.

I've done what RedButcher said with the piggy bank fuse - Worked a treat

The rear speakers are also not working, I just realized something, they have provided me with the autoleads kenwood specific adapter with it. so its running ctsad002 then autoleads kc99-ken.

Can't see how this would effect the switched live etc. But it does explain why the steering wheel wont work the contorls

is there a fuse for swithced live that might have blown?

You need an adapter to get the rear speakers working..

dont if you have the right one but i have a spare one lurking around...

It depeds if you have a bose or amplified set up..
