Ive already said hello but now I've left a deposit on a car. Hopefully pick it up at the weekend. It came in the garage and i went down the day after. Even before they had time to prep it...
Few of my cars over the years (hopefully the pics work)

Clio 16v (280bhp) Which had a fortune spent on it

Astra VXR. I had this car for 3 years and ran it 295bhp 340lbft for near 3 years also. I know they get slated but i loved this car and surprisingly it never went wrong

Subaru STI JDM. Bottom end went on this (pretty standard) so i put a newer sti8 engine in and VF35 turbo.

Made 369bhp and 370lbft. Good fun but as a daily it just wasn't me

Bmw 530D.. M5 rep. I swapped my Subaru for this. Loved the comfort etc and was pretty nippy at 280bhp, cant remember the torque. I sold it to free up some money

I have had more cars but they have all been standard pretty much. I do have a lot of plans for the S3 but seen as it comes with 3 month warranty I will get that out the way, make sure the car is running good as can be. It will 100 percent need tuning up, I want it around the 370-400 mark. I have been doing a little research on what I need and it will take time to do it. I've got some screenshots somewhere of things to do with the car from reading peoples thread haha. Anyways the car you prob want to see.

Audi S3. S-tronic (dsg). Black edition. Sat nav. Pan roof. Parking sensors. Cruise control. 52k with fsh inc cambelt, water pump, haldex and the gearbox. I think it will need an exhaust as one of the first mods. I think i may just save up and go stage2+. Saves paying for multiple maps

Haha thanks. The bmw clio and subaru i cant take too much credit as they were already like that... the subaru i did give it a full respray though. The vxr was totally standard when i got it and took me 3 years to get it the way i wanted it

So the plan is, keep the car as it is for 3months due to warranty. Then once that is done ill be looking at things to do. Will need a good polish no doubt, oil change. And anything what needs doing. i.e any hints or tips to help the car.

I want spacers and for it to be lowered... any one lowered on Rota's? Need to bare in mind though i park in a multi-story car park
Dont like how the cig lighter sticks out.
I dont like having a rear wiper.
Interior bits will be getting wrapped.
Cant decide on the colour of calipers yet
Bulbs will be getting all changed to nice white ones. Cant stand yellow
Wind deflectors will be bought.. need have a look at few pics first.

Any tips or places to find things will be helpful. Thanks

Nice car mate, I'm in the same situation as you. Just recently bought a 2011 A3 S-Line and looking to make it look a bit more aggressive but haven't got a clue where to start...

thanks mate, yeah i love creating my own car, but also frustrating i cant go out and spend ££££ on it all at once haha

Tidy looking car. You certainly have plans.
Calipers be nice in red or yellow.
For spacers and/or lowering equipment try @DPM
For bulbs we have @t8ups he is the lighting expert
Exhaust system won't get better than @BCS Nige for custom made
For all other genuine parts try our parts request system. link below

Nice little blast yesterday. Ive noticed tracking or alignment might be out. Am sure it pulls to the left...
Heated seats dont work.. so am hoping these things are covered by the 3month warranty. My guess is they will fob me off.
And ive noticed no cruise control when i thought it had it. And no auto lights. 2010 and not auto lights haha. Even my crappy megane was auto lights. Unless am doing something wrong

Alignment on every Quattro I've had seems very prone to changing, and I usually have it checked each time I swap the tyres out(summer vs rest of the year...),and each time it's drifted a bit,so it's worth having checked out properly.

Ahh. Going to message the garage today and see what they say. Am sure they will try fob me off. Am not even sure what the 3months covers haha. Prob not even worth the paper its written on

After doing some juggling i finally have sorted my insurance for it. My current providers esure wanted £1100 ontop of what i had already paid over the next 3 months. This is due to house change and car.
Cheapest i could find was direct line. Even the specialists were no were near.

I had to let a few people down buying while i sorted it out. Was going to buy throttle pipe and CAI.. sorry again if you're reading this.

My rear wiper delete kit has come so going to do that this week. All my detailing kit is itching to be used, soon as the weather becomes nice.

I met burgos3 today (Aaron) and bought his miltek downpipe 200cell cat. He asked what cat back exhaust was already on the car, i thought it was standard haha so going to look into that one.

Hi...did you try Greenlight?

They will only look at modified cars, and have always given me very reasonable quotes(not withstanding my age of course...LOL) and if you haven't tried them, they're worth a punt.

Greenlight is great, but they are rather picky with who, what and where they insure. I moved house three years ago and ended-up in a "high-risk" post code, which meant that Greenlight would not even bother giving me a quote anymore :(

I'm now using either Sky Insurance or Adrian Flux - the cost is still a couple of hundred pounds higher than it used to be, but still cheapest I could find.

Sat in this car yesterday and it's a fine example and we'll spec'd. We can connect my vcds up to it when I get my car back from r-tech (I left it in my boot) to see what's causing your problems and see if we can activate anything on it

Sounds good pal. I do have the program on my lappy but no lead and i dont have a clue how to use it haha.

Maybe but i am 28 now. 10 years driving end of this month and 29 in july so am getting there haha

@Kaine19 - For your insurance give A-Plan a try on 01635 874646 or www.aplan.co.uk/specialist. Most of the mainstream insurers were quoting me circa £1100 but A-Plan were £440; they are a specialist broker which were recommended to me from one of the members here. I have >15 years no claims, 40 and this is a second car which won't do many miles but the general providers were not competitive. I also tried Greenlight and Adrian Flux but A-Plan suited me better.

My direct line policy started today. Ill lose my deposit wont i?

check your T&Cs, but I think you have 14 days to cancel as long as you have't made a claim... See what A-Plan can do nonetheless.

Looks great :)

I made this mistake though and wasn't until the day I came to collect and pay the balance for it I asked about the auto lights/wipers as like you I assumed my 2010 car would have them considering my 2003 206 gti did! But I'd already decided I wanted the car anyway but it is pretty surprising really!

Yeah its madness. Am also sure the advert said cruise control. But been deleted now so nothing i can do. Like you say i wanted the car so ill deal with it haha

From reading on here you can retrofit cruise control relatively cheaply. Auto lights not so much and doesn't seem worth the cost and hassle to me. It's not the end of the world. Just have to remember to do it again now!

I retro fitted it on my vxr so am assuming its similar pal yeah

Few little bits over last few days, i do have few more coming but ill wait until they get there. Theres not much more i can afford right now with waiting for a pay rise and just booked Florida haha. But if i have any spare cash it will be spent on the car for sure.

Cam follower kit, not sure if ever been done so for the price... i wanted to get uprated fuel pump to fit at same time but funds wont allow

Milltek down pipe with 200cell cat, currently have connecting pipe and reducer on order, so also waiting for them to turn up. Still need order exhaust clamps yet as well

TTS engine cover... this wont stay like these colours :) and if i have ordered this, am sure you can also guess what else is on the way

Never a fan of the rear wiper on any car, not sure why, I just dont't

Hey Fella
Similar here, just acquired same car on a 61 plate. Fantastic! Had a 62 3 series before for 9 months and hated it and saw the s3 and parted exed. It's the biz. I had a golf gti mk5 a couple years ago which just loved but this is better. And yes mine has no auto anything either! But it's forgiven as it's lovely! Good luck with yours and the mods. I'm leaving mine as is spent too much time messing with ford capris a few years back and me backs gone!!

I should just leave it to be honest. But am too much into cars haha. They are lovely to drive.
