New S3 Front End--Pics!

Hi Guys,

Well I've finally got around to washing the car and putting together a little thread for you guys of my S-Line to S3 Front End on my 08' Sportback! The inspiration of course came from thisthread of course, and thankyou very much Milldu as I would have never done it, if I wouldn't have seen it! (One of the many postives of joining a car forum specialising in your car RESEARCH!!! )

For the conversion you need : -

-S3 Front Bumper
-S3 Side reinforcement bar
-S3 Grille
-Outer Fogs
-Inner Fogs
+ Spraying
+ Fitting

So here are the before/after shots:-

Tried my new Karcher Foam Gun out today!!

It gave lovely results

So there you have it! My car has a lovely 'meety' front end As I've said on this forum before (before people start, slating me) I'm not trying to make my car look like a FAKE S3 I just wanted to make the front end look more aggressive, hence why I sold the S3 badge via the bay and put an S-Line one on there! To be honest most people won't notice the difference except for you guys, but I've had the vision in my head all along and when the 19"s go on and it gets lowered it'll look

The cars getting there now, and I'm over the moon with it and glad I waited all that time, because it was both definietly worth the wait

If anyone is considering doing this conversion then you can get in touch with Matt and he can sort you out with everything you need! Fitting/Spraying etc.

Well done. Your right at first glance to most peps you wouldn't spot the difference and i agree you've kept your S-Line badge so for those in the know there's no kidding thats it's something more than it is. Mind you with the Sportback S3 round the corner you've just beat a lot of people to it on the look.

I really like that, looks much much better. I find the A3 front end a little plain looking tbh, the mesh effect around the fog lights, etc on the S3 grille make it look so much more purposeful.

On a side note did it fit straight on because i would have thought the shape was slightly different with it being a sportback, or does that only make a difference when you get past the front end?

Yep. The S3 and S-Line have the same wings, so it’s a straight fit. The only area that would cause concern is the carrier, but I got the S3 one so it’s all good!

Nice new bumper, very subtle changes but it makes a difference, just try to take out the S3 badge (I don't like it when I see fake S3s with an S3 badge) but everyone to his own liking

Looks great mate , gives it a little lift , you ask joe public which one they like the best all would say the S3 end....it's all in the detail.

Just need a black optic grill now!

Well done mate - I think it looks great - it's also quite subtle i.e isn't in your face.

I'll bet there will be some confused people staring at it when they see you in the rear view mirror and then realise you've got 5 doors when you overtake (well until the new S3 Sportback arrives).

Nowt mate , i want to keep this car very clean and OEM looking, so the outside is done apart from a summer detail.

Mate - he's got an S-Line badge on the grill and not a Quattro badge - see the first post.
