Same here I was worried at first not being stapled but is nice and tight once the plastic base it clipped in
Well finally have now got my new knob on order after having issues with the code, turned out to be the 'W' needed dropping from the part no. Very excited to get my new knob... Cheers Matt, another £80 pound gone
I have just fitted my new gear knob and must say I am very impressed with it. My old one, seemingly like everyone elses, had become worn on the metal ring that surrounds the gate decal was easily removed thanks to the step by step guide on here. Next I fitted the new base retainer and didn't bother stapleing it, just tucked it in and reattached the knob!! Looks great, went for the red stitching to match the outer colour of the car. Thanks to everyone who has posted on here. Jamie
A quick pic from my iphone, well impressed with it, just need to sort out the climate control buttons they really **** me off!! Before Inbetween After
