Jus to let everybody know - I spoke to trups last night and 9 set were sent out yesterday, this bad weather may affect delivery. But don’t worry they are on their way! :racer:

As said, 9 UK sets and 1 set to OZ are gone, the UK sets you will get a text to say its out for delivery with a 1 hour time slot but that's only when they are loaded onto a Van.

4 sets of Blacks will be ready later this week.

A few set backs threw me off a week, The ones that bought LED high beams, I had to cut the heat sinks down which took another day or the back cover would not of closed, these are side specific and will only fit one way but if you get stuck just ask, you will need to unpackage your indicators and sidelights and install making sure polarity is correct on the sidelights.

All Manual Adjusters at the top have been fully tested and are Working so please no PM's to tell me they don't, I have now managed to have spare adjusters 3D printed so spare parts are here if needed without having to buy a full lamp to get extra parts from.

@t8ups has come up trumps again. Look forward to seeing them when you’ve all fitted them to your cars. They look amazing but will be awesome when fitted. :)

I got mine and fitted today as I need them for a mot. These lights are soooo much better than standard.

They have both got a bit of condensation in already though on the indicator sides. Is that something I can combat?

Both grommets for the ballasts are seated properly so not sure why.

Other than that they're great :) thanks trups

As the headlights have been nice and toasty indoors you have put them outside in freezing conditions, its just getting used to the outside temps, if the full headlight condensated to the point of droplets id be wanting them back but extra sealant has been added to each light.

I can't get the indicator bulb holder to screw into my left headlight housing. The right hand side was fine but it feels like it can't locate properly for the left hand unit

Yeah the right hand side was tight to push down but it pushed down square. The left hand side isn't pushing in square and it feels like the locating tabs are fouling on something. It seems as if the hole in the interior chrome plastic doesn't appear to be concentric with the hole in the black housing so the locating tabs of the bulb holder can't locate[IMG]

Mine were a bit fiddly and I had to use a bit of force to get the one in but I think they’re supposed to be like that so the rubber seal is compressed for a good waterproof seal (that was my take on it anyway). Never seen so many wires in a headlight, Trups couldn’t have crammed anymore into them if he tried!! I put mine together and thought ‘that cover plate is never going to fit’.....

When these lights come in the sealed box the indicator bulb holders are actually fitted in there, I have to remove them before they are split so the indicator reflector can come out and it will sit back in the same place. even I when I fit them they are really tight putting them in move them back and forth and they will sit in place.

I didn't fit the indicators and sidelights back in as sometimes its nice to do a little DIY and see what you have bought rather than me installing it all.

    @t8ups

not really sure what to say; I've tried repeatedly to get this bulb holder to locate but it won't go in. It keeps fouling the pattern in the indicator reflector bowl. I've drawn some circles to make the issue clear and there are now witness marks where the locating tabs are fouling the outside perimeter of the 'blanks' in the pattern (yellow). The main body of the bulb holder is also fouling the 'stops' of the pattern (I can see the chrome finish being rubbed off).

I've had the bulb holder on the right-hand headlight unit in and out several times and swapped the bulb holders around on the off chance it might help. After repeated attempts this bulb holder is still not going in on the left hand unit...

My s3 is under 5ft of snow on top of a massive hill at my mothers. Even my ford ranger can’t get up there!

Going to have to wait for the weather to chill before I can get mine fitted.

Anyone know the correct procedure for adjusting the headlights (up and down) car failed mot again as theyre pointing too high and they said the adjustments weren't working. If the electric motors aren't connected properly will this be an issue?

From what I've read you need to adjust both screws at the same time to get the desired up/down adjustment. Or do you have to use vcds to do it properly.

These are just a normal garage who did the mot not specialist in any way.

I'll take them off and have a look in a few days.

You should be able to easily adjust the beam height by turning one of the adjustment screws on top of the light. Are your motors ball joints connected properly into the platic runners, they are a pain to get in but if theyre not ‘locked in’ properly it will affect the beam height and cause the light to point too high and you won’t be able to adjust them manually to where they should be. When I fitted mine I didn’t need to recalibrate in VCDS because I hadn’t altered anything with the leveling system and thankfully it all worked as it should

Same as above when mine were just needing a fine tune with the adjuster screws. I was doing the wrong one at 1st because I didn’t see the other with the one

    @t8ups

Sorry, thanks for the offer, but I'm not confident that a replacement bulb holder is going to resolve the problem. Both bulb holders that you sent out fit the right hand unit. Neither bulb holders fit the left hand unit.

I lagged the underside of the locating ring and tabs of one of the bulb holders in purple Sharpie pen ink (note there is nothing abnormal with this bulb holder):

    IMG_20180301_170820 (cropped).jpg

then I tried to install the bulb holder; it wouldn't locate but it revealed the witness marks in purple ink where it was fouling the reflector bowl:

    IMG_20180301_170955 (cropped).jpg

so obviously the bulb holder (blue circle) is going in concentric to the black housing (red circle) and fouling the reflector bowl pattern (green circle):

    IMG_20180228_201642 (with circles + sharpie witness- cropped).jpg
I think it needs to go back to you I'm afraid

Is that on the manual adjusters at the top? We had to seperate the lights to get the ball joint back in the socket on my friends set. It was a real PITA ☹️

Got mine fitted today, everything went fine apart from now they don’t move up when you start the car - and I’m getting fault code 01539 on the xenon range, the level sensors are intact but I’m wondering if it has anything to do with me lowering the car onto Bilstein b12’s at the same time.
    Anyone any input on this?

    Cheers.

If they don't move up when you start the car. Would that have anything to do with the levellng motors? There is one up front in the wheel arch and same as the back one?
