wtf...

after alot of scratching our heads and byzan doing alot of knuckle work we realized it was a tiny bit of the plate that goes between the box and engine was catching on the teeth of the fly wheel!! ***! off with the starter again.. and after a bit of handy work it was time to start the car again.!!

SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!

gutted i couldnt make it, well done lads!

just dont upgrade anything now lol.

it is so quiet mate.... its less agressive (smoother) Feels so nice with a new clutch, pedels really light, power steering dont make a noise like my old lump and is also lighter.

Seems to run ok altho it has splutter a couple of times. Mite clean the TB out and see if that helps. I fitted my double pod A piller gauges also, got some nice Swoosh 60mm jobbies. oil pressure and boost. (cheers mark)

so far so good mate... goin to my mates garage to get the Aircon gassed tomorrow so happy days!

damn thats some job you've done really is

haha it was a good day the weather held out to. Was good to meet everyone to shame I couldn't hang about a bit longer. Still at work waiting on people to finish their jobs. Think we should have a non working on Audi meeting some time.

deffo... Cheers for ya help Andy, could not of done it with out ya engine hoist! ya saved me some hiring buck!

See ya soon matey!

It's no problem at all.. I do like a bit of engine swappage/conversions. Mark is infact a genius and hats off to him for finding that sound! Would have taken me a while to get that one lol.

Sounds and looks like fun.

Sorry I couldn't make it but between the MOT, sorting my dead fan and going fireworks shopping (all with a mild hangover) I ran out of time :(

Deffo up for a meet though. Somebody pic a place and time and I shall do all I can to get along. Will bring camera, vid cam and mount along for some action footage of the fun and games.

I got home at 1.30am, was a long **** day,lol Thanks to mr and Mrs G for the food etc.

Andy, i hope you didnt nod off at work mate lol Was good to meet you bud, shame you didnt bring the car, but i guess the engine crane would struggle to fit in the boot

What engine is it?

Good job. :) It took me 2 days to get the lump out of my old Golf, but I was working alone with the help of my trusty parcel trolley I bought from B&Q for £15! 30kg max load. *rolls eyes*

Who needs an engine crane anyway? LOL

He still didnt supply the kebabs, git !!!!
He has had his just deserts by being screwed £800 for his BMW to be repaired, lol

glad to see the old beast running again put new life into your motor looks like it was a long day but hopefully worth it .nice to see it go to a good home:beerchug:

alright m8... its running nice. gonna replace the hydro lifters as they rattle like a mofo for the 1st 3 mins of starting it! i felt like every 1 was looking at me as if to say "mate your car sounds f**ked" in asda car park today!!!!

but for 215 quid im far from complain dude :)

hows your primera?

probably cos engine stood for a couple of weeks oil will of drained off .should be ok after a run .glad all ok

I managed to get in the next morning at 7:30am after work and had to stay up until 12 for some deliverys we couldnt miss. Slept till 7 then back to work at 9:30 again.... just got in now from tonights work but im suprisingly awake.:think:

Any other situation i would have brought the car but seeing as i had the crane and work to go to straight after is seemed the sensible option lol See if i had 60/40's im sure the crane would fit.....

Dont replace until you have at least done an engine flush and an oil change. That could shut them up and would save a load of time

the pipes were siezed to his AC pump, so they removed the back plate from the pump and fitted it to the new one.

****** Raaa thats good to know the Air Con refit actually worked i thought since i broke the seal i wouldn't get it air tight again... That is good now you have a fridge on wheels lol.
