New engine and gearbox...

Ive posted a lot on here due to a blue smoke issue and last week my gearbox shat itself so ive have decided im not capable of rebuilding myself and i pick up my new engine and gearbox on sunday.
Just hope the supplier can be trusted and i get a good one...

On my home with my new s3 engine and box.
Came out a yellow 2002 s3, somebody popped the window and tried to steal it.
75 k on her and think ive got a good one.
Any body no of this car ? Came from the north west of england

Engine out and new one all bolted in.
Should be done by tomorrow

good job - did you change the difficult to change bits whilst it was easy?

ive been spending on all sorts recently but just hovering over an internal oil leak.
Brand new turbo, cambelt + waterpump, new gasket set, sump oil strainer and all the good bits from the engine have been swapped.
Hopefully no more burning oil and no embarrising blue smoke !!

to be fair, opening the gearbox yourself istn't that hard..you will see that just a single stupid rivet has broken from the shift lever, replace it with a bolt and nut, close the box, and you can have a good spare box, or sell it for a bit more money.

Everything all in and running sweet but i used the alternator which came with engine......
Its faulty so will have to wait another day now.
I also got some warning lamps on the dash and the car seemed to hold back when hitting higher revs.
All conected to low power in the battery and charging system i hope
Go again in the morning

Im a happy man, over the moon
