Since fitting an aftermarket head unit my car now makes a chime noise when I turn the engine off.

Is this normal? or has something gone wrong?

It could be, I'll listen more carefully it does sound like its comming from the area of the insturment cluster. It could be a reminder to take the facia off.

    I'll experiment.

The chime is defiantly coming from the instrument cluster!

Factory bluetooth chimes on connect and disconnect. Only other noises I've heard the cluster make are beeps for warnings.

No its an old Alpine, I'll try connecting the pioneer I have and see if it does it.

No Bluetooth in the car as far as I'm aware.

One thing I have done which could be something to do with it. I had a parrot Kit connect to the factory head unit. I'll pulled that all out.

I need a switch live for the new HU, and found someone had put a switched live so connected into the new HU. I've got no idea where that feed is coming from.

Sorted this out. I've just switched the Yellow and Red wires on the HU. Memory now works too. :)
