hi,

i was wondering if anyone can help me. i had a rev J, CE module, but i wanted c/h l/h lights, so i bought a rev D as i needed a high spec one. after fitting, the l/h lights worked but not the c/h, and after a few days i noticed my front wipers stopped working, but the spray jets still worked. so today i removed the D module and reinserted the J one, and voila! wipers working again! but obviously the l/h lights are no longer supported, plus i have the footwell lights i have yet to fit when i have time so i need a high end one.

i have been using this (copied from another thread);
8P0-907-279: 17 byte (base)
8P0-907-279-A: 17 Byte (Highend)
8P0-907-279-B: 21 bytes (base)
8P0-907-279-C: 21 Byte (Highend)
8P0-907-279-D: 17 Byte (Highend)
8P0-907-279-E: 23 byte (base)
8P0-907-279-F: 23 Byte (Highend)
8P0-907-279-H: 24 Byte (Highend)
8P0-907-279-J: 30 bytes (base)
8P0-907-279-K: 30 Byte (Highend)
8P0-907-279-L: 30 Byte (Highend)
8P0-907-279-M: 30 bytes (base)
8P0-907-279-N: 30 Byte (Highend)
8P0-907-279-P: 30 Byte (Highend)
8P0-907-279-Q: 30 Byte (Highend)

so my question is; do i need a certain module for my car to have everything fully functional as well as it being a high end module? e.g. do i need a newer high end module which also has to be 30 bytes like my J.

my car is an '08 1.4tfsi 8p2. ill try to get my vcds logs up tomorrow as i had fair few fault codes. sorry in advance if i haven't provided enough info already.

and thanks for the help

I'm sure one of the guys be along shortly. I thought it was ce module that ended in k that was the highline you need.

Ahhh ok see I wasn't sure I thought any highline one would work, but yeh I'll wait to see if anyone can confirm this.

Thanks for the help!

Get an F module.
High line module for all A3s up to 2007 which then was superceded to a K but F will do at you want

Thank you so much guys!

Also just a quick question,I think the problem with the D module was that it didn't support the K30 diagnostic line (at least that's what I understood when I saw the fault codes) it did however run the k15 fine.

Does anyone know if the F module will have a similar problem or will it be ok for that too?
