Hello I have been on this forum for over a year and have recently sold my S3 8p and bought a 2013 a5 black edition coupe

I have the 19" rotor alloys they are 9j I believe with 255/35/19 tyres but have been looking for a new set and found these AVA Memphis

Only this is I can only fined these in 8.5j I'm not to clued up on wheels I want to get the right look/stance and don't want these new wheels hiding under the arches. Can anyone help me out? Will spacers be needed etc

Any help Would be much Appreciated

Need more info on the wheels mate. The key number is the offset.

OEM 19" are 9x19 255/35 ET33
OEM 18" are 8.5x18 245/40 ET38

255/55 should fit 8.5x19, but might look a bit buldged....

Most fit 9x19 ET33 with 15/20mm spacers, so if you can find a 9x19 ET20-25 you should get a wheel with a good fit flush with the arches.

Thanks for the info mate

I'm in love with those Ava wheels but they only do 8.5j I can get other tyres no problem but what spacers do you recommend with them? Same 15mm upfront and 20mm rear?

All depends on the offset number. Do you have that number?

Offset on the new wheels is 40 mate

Ah then yea you will need some hefty spacers....probably 20/25 front rear.

put the specs into willtheyfit.com to see the difference.

255x35x19 tyres will be fine on 8.5j wheels, thats what I run on my winter (Genuine S5) alloys.

Agree with the Dr, you'll need to run 20/25mm spacers with such a high et to get a flush look.

Ok so go for 20mm front 25mm rear? Going to order the wheels this week

On my old A5 I ran 20x8.5 ET45 with 20/25 spacers and the front looked fine, but the backs were still a little tucked in. So on yours with ET40 it will probably look OK.

If I was buying another set of wheels, personally I would go for a set that I could use without spacers. Something with 20x9.5 ET26 to me looks spot on. Thats just a personal preference though.

Oh and make sure the CB is 66.6mm!
