You surely know what you want for this car. I will appreciate if you can attach a photo for reference.

Ok, so finished decon (tar, iron remover, clay mitt), wash, and correction (hex logic orange and green pads) using FLEX DA, and Sonax Profiline Perfect Finish. Then Gyeon Q2 Prime finishing polish with Hex Logic Black finishing pads.

Then used Gyeon Q2 Prep to remove oils etc, and started application of Gyeon Q2 Synchro (2 x coats MOHS, amd 1 x Skin), then coated alloys and tips with Q2 Rim, and coated black plastic with Q2 Trim. And then polished and sealed all glass including pano roof with AngelWax H2Go.

Interior cleaned, just to to fabric coat seats next.

Will take better pics when coatings have cured and car is outside. The shine is immense and is not done justice with these pics.

Did the decon and wash on Thursday PM, correction and 1st two coats of MOHS on Friday, then the rest today.

All in all spent about 15-18 hours on
It.

Looks super good chap.

My only gripe with mini's these days is that they are not really "Mini", I love some of them but not all variants, but maybe they should have called it a mini max , very much like the little old fiat 500 that has grown into something much larger.

Anyway, personal opinion on that front but good work all the same chap. :icon thumright:

Very fair point Rob, and mine is the worst, but then I need/like the bigger practicality with a dog, had a X3 before this. And doesn’t hang around with the 306bhp motor

Not sure about the rear indicator lens style/pattern though, i think that could have been styled better.

I also prefer as light a tint as possible, but I always go with Ceramic for heat reduction.

Thanks mate, much appreciated. Yes, loving the white silver, it does have nice fleck to it . Your floret RS3 was always my fave (well apart from a mica racing blue one)

Yeah I kinda miss that car now ... but your silver white looks very close - so the roles have revered in colour admiration now ;)

haha, but when you get your daytona saloon (another of my faves) with all the black and carbon I will be the envious one. From the reviews I have seen so far, going down really well :sign wow:

Off to PCWMods on Thursday for a little backbox mod to give the exhaust some much needed sound. Paul is a legend, and @ less than £300, is a bargain compared to replacing backbox with Remus or similar for circa £1k, and still looks OEM.

Just noticed you have got conti's fitted - how are you finding them.
I last had those on a TT and found them excellent.

Yes, used Paul for my M40i, gave it a fantastic exhaust note, like it should

Appreciate mine will NOT sound like the lovely B58 3.0 straight six, but will be a lot better

So many many RS’s done by Paul

Given that my JCW could not get HK Sound, I have booked it in for a nice OEM+ Audison Audio upgrade, consisting of:

1. Audison Prima AP8.9bit DSP 8 channel amplifier.

2. Audison Prima APBMW K4E/K4M 2 way door speakers consisting of replacement door speakers and tweeters (have ordered the HK Tweeter housings from Mini).

Includes all required sound deadening in the doors, and required harnesses and looms which mean straight plug and play, and easily returned to stock without any issues.

This is considered stage 1 & 2. I will see how it goes, and then potentially do stage 3 which would consist of replacing the underseat subwoofers with Audison Prima APBMW S8-4.

Stage 4 would be a standalone Sub in the boot but I am highly unlikely to need/want this (he says!)

Also getting a Thinkware F800 Pro Front / Rear Dashcam fitted at the same time.

For those waiting, the exhaust mod vid is coming, I am working with teenage timelines here [/QUOTE]
