Facelift Needle sweep

I have noticed that my dash doesn't always sweep the needles when I start the car... anyone got any idea why?

Wow that's a coincidence, I noticed an hour ago!! I looked down when I turned the ignition on and thought it were strange. Hadn't done anything different to normal, just the second time the car has been started today.
