hey
i just did a log after i replaced the n75 with mbc and increased the boost to 1.6bar(was 1.4 with n75)
i have alot of knocks why is that ?with n75 i have zero in all 4 cly
its only 0.2 bar more
the car feels stronger and run perfect .
is this too risk to drive?

as you have increased boost you may have to take timing out... its a balancing act... too much boost too soon makes 1.8t's hot and they pull more timing top end

What is the safe range ?

for what exactly?

All engines are different... you need to tune to its capabilities and thats not dictated by the parts you have bolted on, no two engines will be the same even if they have the same parts/turbo

Without logging EGT's, IAT's and everything else its hard to tell.

I read Dan recommends the BBT turbo's like k300 upto 1.4 bar, I expect they blow hot air above that and there is no gain.

Dan, did I quote you right? Or can these uprated bearings and step gapped seals usually be pushed higher
