Hi guys

Picked up my RS3 last week and already knew from my experience with the S3 what I wanted to do with the car

Options include assistance pack, sunroof, black pack, carbon interior trim, staggered wheels, b&o sound, mag ride

Have no intentions on moding the RS3, it works so well out of box, valved exhaust sounds great and performance is more than enough for a daily driver

I did however want to sort the ride comfort, and my go to swap on all my cars is a set of Michelin pilot super sport

Running the factory staggered 255f and 235r and the mpss fill the guards perfectly. I added Zimmerman drilled rotors in rear to match the front

Ride comfort is improved over the pirellis, the mpss are quieter and softer over hard edged bumps, and the extra 1" of tread in the front due to the more squared off shoulder has given a noticeable increase in turn in bite

Do like that. Very nice indeedy!

Like what you've done with the rear discs, that annoys me too.. My dealer has been a PITA about tyre selection but I have also opted for the staggered width option. Interesting to read what you notice from adding MPSS...my have to look into

Great looking car tho bud, enjoy it :)

Proving to be a great small car, nardo was definitely the right colour choice

Where you from Domino?

It's clearly not Scotland!

If I had mine it'd be snow pics.

@domino_z

The Michelin Pilot Super Sports is also one of the first changes iam going to make on my RS3.
I bought some HRE P40s and I'm going to use staggerd MPSS on them because I wasn't satisfied with the Pzeros.
I used the MPSS on my S3 before and that tyre really makes a difference. You discribed that it rides better and has more bite than the Pzero and I can 100% confirm that.

Are you still satisfied with the Zimmermann discs on the back brake?
I think about switching to them as well.
Could you upload some current pictures of those discs? I'd like to know whether the rust as much as the OEM ones.

Hi Mate, I have a late 2015 RS3 8v, i have recently upgraded to michelin super sports and have been experiencing issues ever since, the car drives terrible and the traction control keeps coming on at random, its only been like this since i fitted the MPSS, I am also running the staggered config. Have you had any issues or have the tyres performed well?

I have since sold the car and replaced it with a new m3 competition - I love the engine and size of the car, but ultimately I was craving something less fwd bias having come from evo x and r35 awd platforms

I didn't have any issues with the mpss other than scrubbing the inside fronts after a solid weekend 2k km drive across Tasmania

Re zimmermans, I was never happy with the brake setup short cut audi did on the rs3, and ended fitting the rear rs7 rotor retro kit I got made up out of Germany. I pulled this off the car before selling, so if anyone in Australia is watching this thread, they are available for sale

Very nice! So clean and tidy too, it would never stay like that here on British roads! Especially Wales.....

good day domino_z, are the rear rs7 discs available? would like to know it's current condition and specs please. ta.
