HI

recently the MyAudi app is requesting that I enter email and password for the user in the MMI - I dont understand why, as it seems that the app already has connection to the car and I successfully can unlock and lock doors.

Has anyone else seen similar behaviour lately in the app ?

I do not really see where I should enter the information as I am already logged in to the MMI as Keyuser of the car ?

Yes I have a similar, though not exactly the same, issue asking me to complete setup by contacting my audi partner to set me up as owner of the vehicle, see attached screenshot. Audi Digital services just telling me to do the "normal" troubleshooting things, such as resetting password etc, which never work!

I now have same message as you! Also map tells me the car is 200 miles away, when it's outside the door I think this another case of myAudi servers having a meltdown

HI

For me it does not really seem that there is any functionality that is not working. So for now I will just ignore the message for some time and then see if it will disappear at some point.

Me too. Everything in the car works as it should.
Thanks for reply

Yep, I got the same error.
Noticed it on my iPhone last Friday evening (15th October). Device and app up to date. This screen also displayed a 'vehicle status could not be retrieved' box and the vehicle status would not update.
Contacted Audi Digital Services, who had me (a) log out of myAudi (b) change region and login (c) change region back to UK (d) reset password and anything else they could think of....all without it making a blind bit of difference. The email I was then sent with the case reference asked me for my inside leg measurement, blood group and a screenshot.
By Saturday morning (16th), the app had stabilised and was updating status (mileage, fuel tank %age, location, warnings - the washer fluid needed topping up). Thought no more of it until Monday this week when a new message appeared over the centre of the home screen - "The Audi connect infotainment services are not yet linked to the vehicle. Please enter your myAudi email address on the vehicle MMI."
The app was still syncing in real time at this stage.
Conatcted ADS with an updated screenshot and the response was:
"After checking your vehicle into our system, we can confirm that you need to perform the MMI login in order to be able to use the navigation and infotainment services in your vehicle.
Please follow the steps below in order to log into your vehicle's MMI:
1. Switch on the ignition and access the main menu of your MMI
2. Select Users
3. Click on Add User
4. Choose Log In now and insert your myAudi account credentials (email and password)
After that the 'link vehicle' message will disappear from your myAudi app."

Have yet to try this, but assume that because my password was changed this is the reason. I'll advise an update when I've tried this, but it is interesting to see that other subs have similar issues when the ADS mantra is "it must be at your end, guv."

The app is no longer syncing.

Yep. Pretty much same as my experience. I'm away at moment and car parked up. But I told them I was convinced the error was at their end ad everything in car is working fine. Thanks for posting, it's reassuring to know it's not just me experiencing these issues!

I haven’t used my car since last Sunday, although I checked the app on Monday as mentioned and again this morning, when I discovered it was failing to update. I’m going to interrogate the MMI over the weekend as suggested by ADS and see if that re-syncs the app.
Failing that, my local Audi Centre can fiddle with it.

I had the message about contacting my dealer and now have the not linked to vehicle message?
I feel like taking a screen shot of this thread and emailing it to Audi Digital Services.
You know when you get that sixth sense feeling that the specialist you’re talking to isn’t really on top of the issue and basically infers the problem is at the user’s end and it is most definitely not a server failure.
Almost, but not quite, “have you switched it off and switched it on again” territory.
Of course, we’re told it can’t be a server issue, but my experience with other myAudi app or web problems is that they’re almost always at the server end and community threads like this bear that out.

I agree, there's clearly an issue thats getting progressively worse. when I look at my profile in the car it says it was last updated on the 19th Oct, just tried unlocking my car remotely and that isn't working now? Makes you really appreciate this forum, I was on the verge of taking my S4 back due to issues with My Audi and it was due to posts on here that I finally got it fixed!

Not very good this, I have the message about Audi Connect Infotainment Services not linker to car please enter your email and password etc. I do that and get a message on the MMI saying you could not be logged in try again later. Also when I click on receive tours etc I get a message saying, you must be logged in to do that. No idea what's going on!

I've paid a bundle to get the renewed license and can't do any system update. Tried several times for at least 40 minutes.

Any ideas, please?
Audi Digital services are a total mess, not knowledgeable at all.
Thank you!

HI

I managed to fix the issue with the "setup assistance" message that suddenly popped up. I have exchanged several mails with audi support in order for them to understand the issue. It took a while !!! Finally I was recommended to delete the car from myaudi app and change account password. Though audi support send me a detailed description of the needed steps of course the app and the description did not match in the steps suggested so I had to find my own way. So, deleting the car from the app and then create a new password finally helped after also deleting user (key user) in the cars MMI and then recreating user in the car and logging in with the new password and finally configure new keys user (email address and the car code)

Now i dont have the configuration error any longer in myaudi app or on the web interface. (now only the usual "OIL" warning that is different from app, web interface and car MMI .......

Is this a map update or something else?
@L_G Sorry for my late reply! I have bought from Ireland (not available in Portugal) the Navigation Plus (€159,90) + the Audi Connect Remote & Control (€41,24)
Portugal's help centre is a total mess.
