MY18 RS3 Factory Exhaust Flap Operation

Have looked everywhere but had no luck in finding clear definitive answers on the factory exhaust flap operation so am hoping you can provide me with some clarity on it depending on what drive mode I have selected.

What do you need clearing up exactly?

Hi RS03-SEN,

When do the flaps open/close and does it change depending on gear?

1) Start Up
2) Comfort mode (seems to open up around 3800rpm in all gears)
3) Dynamic mode ( seems louder at idle but then become quieter until revving again)

I'm not sure they open at all in comfort. Dynamic it'll depend on load, they're not always open fully in dynamic.

In dynamic one side is open at idle, both then close as you pull away. Both sides then open up at about 4k revs.
