Some of you have asked to see pics of my new 3 series coupe, well here it is. If anyone objects to the post I'll remove the thread as I have posted pics up in the other brands forum!!!

I kept the coupe for 19 months, racked up a lot of miles so decided to trade it in while it was still worth something!!!

The specs as follows:

Black with black leather, Auto , 19" rims, tinted windows, Sat nav, bluetooth. HFS, voice control and a load of other options that escape me for the minute!!! It's a 3 month old ex demo and I love it :)

I've got a few plans for it initially - M3 style carbon fibre rear boot spoiler, car fibre mirror, probably lower it as well and my 19" BBS CH's will be going on when I get 30 minutes spare

That it beautiful,

Believe it or not ive just been for a spin in a brand new 335D 58, all i can say is bmw all the way and makes audi look so dull imo, the idrive system is amazing.

Very nice! That's what I want after I graduate uni! Only thing problem with it, is that it only seats 4 :S.

Thanks :) very very happy so far. S

till trying to get to grips with the i-drive but I am loving the 8 preset buttons that allow you to save your favourites. You can set them to be a radio station, place on the sat-nav (i.e. home), a phone book entry, CD track etc. Very clever!

J.

Must say the car looks good
Good choice really...Dads a bmw person tried getting him to come to audi but i know there no point he always liked bmw lol..But likes my audi
Looking forward to seeing the car lowered with the alloys.
Anyway enjoy the car

very nice the coupe is starting to grow on me, the only thing i'd change is the interior they look great with the red leather. I'm off to the local steeler tomorrow to look at mini coopers I fancy coming back to petrol, i'll be happy with anything that cracks over 30mpg as an average.... I wish the 130 would :(

VERY NICE!!!

Car looks spot on and no doubt will look even better once you have done your tasteful mods...

Cant wait to see it.

Nice car! Just returned to BMWs from an S3 to a new 330i m sport (manual) myself. Although, tis a new one with iDrive v2.0. Have to say the new iDrive is awesome. Has an 80 gig disk with all the sat nav stuff, operating system etc so is very fast. You can even rip CDs in the car to the hard disk and it will fill in the track/album details for you - you can even back it up through the USB port to an external hard drive! Oh and the iPod actually lists all the track/album/artist/genre info on the screen which you can search/scroll through just as it should! Is definitely a step ahead of the RNS-E, which I used to love. Seems a bit dated now. Sorry Audi fans!

Nice looking car J. I think the CHG and a little drop in the suspension and it will look very special!
I'm tempted come trade in time to get a 4 door M3... I reckon there will be some bargains if things continue the way they are.
However, that plan will be blown away IF an RS3 ever see's the light of day!

very nice looking car mr blonde!
The coupe looks so much better than the saloon.
The thing with that car is the curves, its oh so curvy! The wing line from the windscreen curves all the way down to the bottom of the front end.. Very sexy! I do harbour a littel dream of owning an m3 someday soon! Enjoy. ;)

Looks good MB. I must say the new 3 series is growing on me. I've always said that the 3 series needs big wheels to make it look better. The standard 16s and 17s just don't look how a BMW should.

You're not working for Dimplex in Southampton are you?

STUNNING. J which springs do you recommend using for dropping the M Sport? Also, if I were you I'd stick with your current wheels. They look miles better than the BBS things in my opinion. Are the carbon fibre parts you are looking for easily available? How much do you expect to pay for all?

Very nice and possibly my next motor. Interested to see what the CH's will look like.

I'm loving the Autovogue conversions at the mo' The 20" AVII alloys they use are stunning.

Looks brilliant J. i wish i could afford one.
I changed my A3 yesterday for a Golf ED30, back to petrol lol

Lovely car, enjoy it. Nice to see the model number ends with 'i' instead of some other letter also ;)

nice motor, test drove one and found it really nice to drive. Still toying with the idea of moving to an M3...

Nice car, i was looking at them myself a while back. IMHO i'd leave the M Sport 19" wheels on as they really suit the car although may become a victim of their success as did the RS4's.

Have fun!

Very nice. Congratulations and enjoy.

Just one question, you seem to prefer the BM's to Audi - any reason in particular? I'm not wanting to start another BM Vs Audi debate thread, I'm just interested in your thoughts having had experience of both.

I can add my two-pence worth having just had 2 Audis and now just got my 7th BMW. Have to honestly say they are just classier in my opinion and full of neat touches. And a BMW is a BMW; it was designed from the ground up as the car it ended up as. It didn't start life as a VW or a Skoda or a Seat or whatever, where they seem to share the same inherent problems. But that is just my opinion. I was, generally, disappointed with both my A3 2.0T-Q and S3. Yes, the S3 was fast. But that novely soon wore off and it didn't make me smile when I got in it. I didn't like the constant squeaks, rattles, creaking doors, problems, etc, etc, etc. Poor fuel economy, crud servicing intervals. And everybody at work wants to look at/in the BMW; they simply weren't interested in the S3 at all. That must say something...?

[let the flaming begin...]

Looks superb J, but then it would as it's similar to mine !!!

Personally I like the CH's on the car as it makes it a little more unique, the 19" M sports are a common upgrade as BMW only charge £465 extra over the standard 18".

As you know J I plan to change my wheels for something different purely because they are a nightmare to clean and since the BMW big brake upgrade they are constantly covered in brake dust so am contemplating some graphite greys/black to use through the winter and for the odd track event.

I never realised you had opted for step-tronic this time - how are you getting on with it ?

Firstly thanks for all the positive comments especially since this is an Audi forum :)

I think that might be Dimplex’ head office, it’s on a business park near where I live, I don’t work for Dimplex.

I normally use a grass area opposite that car park but it was in shade!

I’ve been recommended Eibach’s but I am still investigating…

There’s a company local to where I live C A Automitive that I have got parts from in the past that supply the carbon stuff. The rear spoiler is £125 and the mirror covers in pure carb, no covers are £295. There’s a slight wait so I am guessing it is made to order!

Get some pics up man! MY mates got a black ed30 with DSG, stunning car and Feck me it’s quick!

great car, my next door neighbor has a 335 and it f**king flies,i couldnt believe how fast it was.
been looking at the coupes myself.
have a look here.

looks the dogs.

Pure automotive porn! There’s been a AV 3 series up for sale on Piston heads for a while that I drooled over when looking for one!

Very nice. Congratulations and enjoy.

Ooh this is a can of worms!!!! When I was looking for a replacement for my A3 I wanted something fun, I looked at the TT but I preferred everything about the Z4 – the looks, the engine, the way it drove – RWD is so much more fun! I was also a little disillusioned with the customer service I was getting from the Audi dealers I had used. I did find one that I would recommend which was Audi Basingstoke, my local dealer was shocking!

Second time round I wanted something a little different from the Z so looked at the A5 and the 3 series coupe. I actually prefer the look of the BM but the A5 has the nicer interior (although I actually prefer the BM steering wheel and i-drive). Driving wise the BM is the better drivers car by a massive margin IMO. So that’s what I ended up getting. I did also look at the 335i but for me the 330 was the better car. IT ticked all the right boxes.

The CH's are growing on me :) but I did like the 19"s it came with.

After driving the manual and the step tronic equipped cars I was really impressed with ST. Still getting to grips with it and Sport mode seems to do a better of job o changing gears than I can with the paddles! Bit more practice need I think.

Don't forget my offer of the standard rims still stands if you need them!

The only reason I asked is that I used to work for their parent company. Their HO is in Southampton. Not imporant really - just caught my attention.

sweet car m8, prefer the bmw rims on the car tho, luv the chs (had 2 sets) just not sure on that beautiful machine.

Nice motor MB - looks great and what a spec! I think the CHs look fine too. If you left them on, then when you come to trade in or sell the car again you could put the standard 19s back on with full tread remaining. Just a thought! :)

Hmmm nice wheels, I know you said that you were looking but blimey that was quick.

You didn't even offer me the Z4 :whistle2: at a knock down price.

I like it with CHs fitted, just needs a little drop in height.

Sam driven it yet ?

Oh and don't forget that the indicators are on the left hand stalk (I know but the oldies are the best LOL)

Paul

I like CHs but not sure they have the same impact on a larger car as they do on a small coupe.
The BMW rims are nice anyway IMO.

Paul

Very nice motor - I have to admit I'm tempted to make the jump across when the A3 is replaced in a few years time.

Lovely motor, MB.
I really love the 3-series coupe.
Looks lithe and light and sporty, where the A5 just looks fat and clumsy, IMO.
Personally, I prefer the BMW wheels to the CH's though.
Sell the CH's and get yourself another watch.
