Wifes A1 windscreen is leaking, am I best to chip it and claim on the windscreen cover on insurance?......if so what's best way to chip it?

My wife had the same issue a few months ago. Spoke to our insurance company and told them it was leaking (Leak found when in the car wash LOL) but could not see anything obvious (No chips and seal ok). They said it could be an hairline crack. Anyway the screen was replace by Autoglass on her insurance.

yes but thought chipping it would guarantee it been changed?
