I will find out on Friday and there’s about 10mm clearance between the edge of the 4 pots and the inside of the spokes so hopefully they should be fineWhat are they like for clearance under the xxr wheels

Haha, I was thinking of going on a diet but that sounds a much better ideaThey look cool - are you going to move the battery into the boot to counter the extra weight
I noticed something unusual whilst changing the fuel lines. Once the clamps were undone on the braided hoses they were quite loose and very easy to pull off, not a very tight fit like they should be. Quite worrying really and I’m not at all surprised they leaked. These were bought from ebay so quality is always questionable but they seemed fine when I fitted them a couple of years ago. Maybe I received a bad batch or something but needless to say I won’t be using them again and would recommend anyone who’s fitted the same to check them asap
New rubber hoses fitted:
I have the Same DA 31 set up, which fuel filter did you use? Ibiza 1.8T Cupra ? I have a trackslag charge pipe and found due to the angle they sit at my fuel filter was rubbing on the timing casing. This scared me as the last thing I want is a piece to break off and run in the belt!
So I relocated my fuel filter just behind the drivers headlight inbetween the light and screenwash bottle. Seems fine there.
one of my crazy spotty Savannah’s
Thanks Bill, they’re totaly nuts and rule the house lol but they’re amazinglove your cats dude
Looking good!
Thanksit’s far from perfect but slowly getting there
It's looking sweet in those pictures mate.Sat there on the slipway,it looks like a speedboat that's just emerged from the water,if it was mine parked there,it would seem more like a barge
Funny you should say that, I’ve always been into boats. I had a speedboat named Awesome which I’d launch from that ramp occasionally
I managed to get my brakes fitted today despite the rain it took a lot longer than I expected as most jobs do on these things lol
Just got back from bedding the new pads in, think I’ve still got a bit more bleeding to do. Pedal travel is a bit longer but they are very sharp already so I’m really happy with them
I was surprised at how much bigger they are compared to the 4 pots, the XXR’s (8.75” et20) didn’t have enough clearance and need a 10mm spacer to clear, luckily I had some 20mm spacers in the garage to use for now, they poke a little too much but they’ll do
I ran out of RBF660 so put a call in to my mate @Grundy who came to the rescue with some of his stash, cheers dude
Comparison shot
Love these MTEC disks
Thank you much appreciatedSo beautiful car!
btw what model are the wheels=
They are huge mate, one of the best upgrades I think. Awesome stopping powerwhoa those brakes.... huge!
Very clean car! Do you keep a record of the costs involved with the engine build bud? I’m curious......
What size tyres are you using on the xxr wheels? I have some 9x19 et20 compomotive mo6’s id like to try on my s3 but worried they will rub.
Thanks
Definitely not, I’d never leave evidence like that laying around for the missus to find ;P tbh I’ve no intention of selling the car and would rather spend money on it turning it into a bit of a sleeper than own a new car (with the exception of an RS3/4/6 lol) I try not to think about the cost, I might give myself a heart attack lol but yeah they’re an expensive hobby
When you got your calipers redone did you have to change any off the pistons ?Nice cat.
I honestly couldn’t tell you mate, it was all done within a set price so I presume it was just the seals but can’t say for sureWhen you got your calipers redone did you have to change any off the pistons ?
where did you get the mounts from? been looking and a few different place got them for different prices
