Hi guys, quick intro
defected from bmw to audi (long time bmw owner), managed to pick up a fairly nice B5 S4 2000 facelift but with old style badges, black outside /silver leather/carbon fibre combo in March and been loving it ever since. Been lurking and reading up on B5's since then and comparing notes...

Bought privately with two faults
1) airbag light on
2) oil pressure/temp sensor not working
3) (minor, DIS lines...hehe)

Scanned with VAGCOM today:
Please check my comments in bold to see if I am on the right path here..

BTW, I am in Ilford, Essex if someone needs something scanned :)

Airbag ones under seat just Disconnect with ignition of leave for 5 mins or so then reconnect should be ok clear the code before doing this and it should knock the light off.

Bear in mind that some of those codes could be years old. All depends on when the car was last scanned and the had the codes cleared. Best thing is to clear the codes and rescan in a week or so after the car has been driven.

Obviously, the air bag light on the dash and oil sensor is a current DTC. But the others could be old.

thanks for the info guys,

I cleared all codes yesterday, fixed the connector under the seat for Airbag light problem, went for my usual drives to and from work this today, rescanned

these are the only ones that remain

I've heard/read or the oil temp/press. sensor you have to get the correct one, it would be great if someone can confirm this either way.
By correct, I mean, not one form eurocarparts as apparently it wont work even though it is listed as correct...or rather, it works for some year models.

mine is a 2000 January and from VAGCOM deciphering the ECU is a d-box type.

Last question, how would I be able to tell if it has the original map or has been reflashed already? only on dyno?
