Let me introduce myself!
I am Rams from East London / Essex - i have had this car for a number of months now but never got around to put a build thread up
I am now the owner of a B7 Audi A4 140bhp which I purchased for a bargain price from a (now ex) colleague who has emigrated to Australia for £1400 (with half a tank of diesel!!!)
The price was baited down as the MOT expired (unknown to the previous owner) so I did some serious haggling
The car was involved in a minor shunt last year resulting in a Cat D - the car needed a door and minor repair to the quarter panel - the prevoius owner got paid out for the accident and decided to keep the car as the damage was cosmetic
Being my daily car, I eat alot of miles and needed something econimical and comfortable
I had my eyes on this car for a while as his permanent move from the UK has been on the table for a while now. He was the 2nd owner of this car in 2006 and paid over 21k for it from Audi. Since then it has packed up some serious miles but on the plus side it has been to Audi for everything! It had a cambelt and service last July
When I purchased this car some months ago it needed an MOT which it flew through (just needed a number plate bulb)
Not many extras were fitted to the car apart from Bluetooth (including the ugly phone cradle!)
The other cars I own include a V6 4motion Golf (with a TT engine) which I use as a track car
I am a bit of a whizz kid with VCDS / diagnostics so hope my stay here will be a welcome one
here are some photos of the car when I initially purchased her
(car flew through the MOT)
The cockpit (then)
Audi S5 Cabriolet OEM numberplate LEDs (unlike the aftermarket ones which light up half the road behind you!)
Since then the modifications have started
replacement door fitted and quarter panel repaired
replacement Windsceen with Autodimming mirror and rain sensor
RS4 Xenons
RS4 Grille, US Plate delete and Cupra R lip
RS4 Steering wheel, Cruise control and MFA Stalk
RNS-E retrofitted
RS4 gearknob
Debadged
Future plans
Wire up the auto dimming mirror and rain sensor
Wire up RS4 steering wheel controls, cruise and MFA
Fit the 320mm front caliper conversion
Full Dechrome
Fit the RS4 seats i have from my previous car
locate a half leather rear bench (non fold down)
Find a OEM twin exhaust (non quattro) and fit the twin exhaust valance
Remap
fit some replacement suspension (i have already purchased H+R springs and Koni shocks)
fit RS4 rear ARB
decide on some OEM 19" wheels
