My AMI cable keeps breaking ........

So i have had my car for 30 months now and for the past 12 months i have been useing an ipod touch conected via the AMI socket in the glove box ......

The problem im having is that the cable keeps breaking as the glovebox presses on it when it is closed has anyone else had this issue ??

And is there an alternative cable as the Audi one is £55 .... and i am on my third cable now.

You need to make the cable turn and get the iPod right inside the hole for it to sit

I have run an iPod with a yellow AMI cable since the car was delivered 18 mths ago and its never had a problem. The genuine cable has a 90 degree elbow right out of the iPod connection so it doesn't push against the glove box door when the iPod is in its little net hanger.
