So some of you may remember i was looking at selling my S3 and getting a TDi to free up some cash to finish off our never ending house renovations. So that unfortunately happened :( and i was carless for a week or so until i got myself a 2011 Ibis white 2.0 TDi 140.

To get one at the budget i had, i had to fight some inner demons and buy a high miler, i was dubious at first and it didn't help matters that the day i picked it up i encountered some EGR problems, however the garage took the car back and fitted a new one, other than that the car is great, its no S3 but its averaging 42mpg on mixed driving as opposed to 26 and costs £30 a year to tax and I think it looks pretty good too.

A bad pic but ill take some more once I've washed it and given it a good going over at the weekend if the weather behaves! [IMG]

Best car in class, best colour and best choice of fuel :p

Congratulations on the new purchase...just be mindful of DPF getting clogged up around town but other than that they are spot on!

Thanks guys. I don't really do much town driving, drive to work can be a little stop start along a duel carriageway but my old 170 coped fine athough it did have less miles, any major DPF issues and I'll bite the bullet and get it removed!

****** hell that's a real good increase! Do you still have the dpf fitted? as I know removing it (don't anyone start on about MOT, the dpf's are covered by trays which they cant remove on a test, also most companies that remove them take the dpf housing off remove the gubbins and refit the housing, then the tray covers it!) gives much better figures!

The only thing making me cautious about a remap is the milage as its done over 100k (you wouldn't tell by the interior or exterior however, ive seen 40k milers in so much worse condition!) Im guessing its on the original clutch which isn't showing any signs of issues but I wouldn't want to remap then find the clutch needs doing not long after as that's an expensive one due to the DMF isn't it?
