I'd be game for that depending on dates.

Top Gear did something like this recently with its top ten roads. This is one of them

San Bernardino Pass is a high mountain pass at an elevation of 2065 meters in the Swiss Alps connecting the towns of Hinterrhein and Misox. This road has its share of bends and hairpins but is more known for its scenic views and smooth roads. It also has a 6.6 km long tunnel but with a speed limit of 80km/h (50mph).

The Stelvio Pass may be a challenge though!

I think sprint was introduced on the RS4 in 2006.
The last bright blue before that was 'kingfisher' blue or there was also a flat blue 'Nogaro' that was 'S' exclusive I think.

Yep, Nogaro blue was around for the 8L S3, and possibly even the RS2 IIRC (or a colour very similar).

Kingfisher blue was available on the S2 Coupé, among others presumably.

Based in manchester area. Thinking swiss alps maybe not sure in the route just seeing who is interested. When i get the new s3

Dave, as it's your idea any chance of a separate thread to get some a feel for interest and maybe start throwing some ideas around?

I would be up for it if time is right from work...:yum:

Going on that RS6's theme:

Sepang Blue
Black Optics Grill
Grey bit on bottom of S3 bumper painted black
Rear Audi badge painted black
Lower plastic part of the rear bumper painted black
Black exhaust

That would look fantastic

I think Sepang is lovely on the TTRS, there are a few piccy's of them on the TTF if you need to look at some cars in that colour.

I love it because it is very simular to my old R32 MK5 Deep Blue Pearl! I loved that when I waxed it up!

Ahh, sorry to hear that mate.
Is this possibly the nature of going exclusive? You pay more, but get the slooooooooooooowest service!
What excuse are they giving you?

No excuse. Just no reason other than its an unconfirmed date so it will shift.

But never earlier!!!!

Sepang blue is the muts nuts...they had an S3 sportback in the dealer when i picked up my new A3 last month at York Audi if you were ever up that way.

In my opinion if i had the money it would be my No.1 choice even over my favourite silver. People that say it doesnt look any different havent seen it in the flesh. I find it dark blue in one light, almost sprint blue in another light.....overall its:hubbahubba:

Come on lottery and ill give my A3 to my missus and roll on S3 Sportback in Sepang......:lazy:

Yeah, Sepang is an awesome colour. When I was looking around, they had the following in Docklands Audi (back in May'ish this year). A bit pricey but fairly well equipped... Pic doesn't really do the colour justice but hat off to you Dave for going the extra mile and getting this colour. I personally couldn't justify the cash over sprint blue. Cheers, KKP

Sepang looks so different in every picture I see. It used to be a lambo colour :rockwoot:

Do you guys reckon a silver or black grill though, might be doubting my own decision here. Please help.

Oh god that does look good!
It's a richer colour than sprint (and I love sprint!).
Hmmm, making my choice so much harder.

I agree with KKP silver all the way for me too! Black grill looks good with black cars with sounding too obvious but thats only my opinion.

Silver is only our opnions of course so for me personally silver everyday but you decide what you want dont be talked out of something if you feel its not right, i got talked into buying my previous a3 as a 3 door. Loved the car but after a while the larger doors started to annoy me so then this time i decided to buy what i wanted...a sportback and im well impressed.

Long as your happy mate

Cheers

That looks flippin amazing. Has to be a black grill but with the chrome surround. It just doesnt look right with the grey grill, but would look spot on black.

I may have just decided my next car after seeing these pics!

My S4 in Sepang was ordered in May, it is confirmed for build next week but was only confirmed about 2 weeks ago. originally I'd hoped for Sept 1st but it kept slipping out. Maybe they are running short of Sepang blue? :)

Awesome colour but that pic is doing it no justice for me, Early 8P's in Mauritious blue look similar but i'm guessing Sepang is more of a deeper pearly colour.

Just noticed after cleaning the car that I have the pleasure of having bird sh1t in the paint work!!! Its a small area fortunately but appears to have gotten under the lacquer.. pesky pigeons!

Any help in remedying this problem?

Hi Mate, I had the same problem. If you check out the detailing forum there is a thread on there titled Bird crap. Lot of info about it on there. Basically though, if its ate into the laquer you will probably have to machine polish it out, although some have managed to make it a lot better by hand.
