Hi everyone,

I have an Audi A5 2.7tdi multitronic

And some times I can hear a clicking noise when the car is changing gears, mostly when I break or when I set off, not really when I'm driving.

It's on 85k miles and hasn't had gearbox oil changed since I have had it, (80k when I got it). I don't know whether the previous owner got it changed or not.

Also on hills in Drive it moves back a little and then creeps forward very slightly.

And once when I parked the car in my driveway which is steep, it rolled back in Drive?! Hasn't done it since then.

Another thing to add is the car was parked up and not used for nearly a year.

So will the gearbox oil need changing and will it amend these faults.

It drives impeccable, very smooth. Changes gears fine.

Oil every 40000, so well worth doing it now for peace of mind for the next 40000!

Deffo do the oil change and any reset/adaptions that you can via VCDS.

Rolling back and then creeping forward from standing uphill start is normal for cars without hill hold assist.
