I've had an A6 Allroad 3.0 TDi for a couple of days to run around in while my wife's Q5 was in getting the EGR valve replaced, felt like a massive car, very quick, effortless but boy was it dull. Definitely a more modern interior, a fair few buttons all over the place and a nice display screen. Getting back into my car, it felt more minimalist, clean and I prefer it.
It's my only (small) worry about the S4, but I'm sure with the lunar/black seats and the leather armrests etc. it will feel like a quality product. As I've said before you spend all your time looking out of the window anyway and I cannot, cannot wait to hear that 3.0v6 again ..
