Movie Format on SD Cards

What format do movies have to be to play on an SD Card in the car?

Mp4 usually

I can’t get any MP4 files to play. Says unsupported format and greyed out.

According to the handbook the supported video formats are,

MPEG - 1/2, MPEG4 AVC and Windows Media Video 9

Yup defo not reading any MP4 files just checked. I’m thinking I might need to reformat the card. Anybody know what format it should be? The card used to be fine.

Mine is FAT32.

Are there restrictions on the resolution of the files that can be played, ie HD/SD?
