Hi had MOT on car today, I’ve had two lights on dash for a week or so the EPC and emissions control lamp, MOT guy rang today and said I needed a new back box at £220 does this seem about right as have no idea about Cars, it has an welded exhaust tip which makes it a bit louder, he’s on about fitting a new back box I presume that they will put my old exhaust back on it?

They would put standard back box in which manufacturer recommend to your car.
Doubt they will touch tip re-weld from old box to the new one.
