MORNING START PROBLEM?

Hi all been having a problems with my a4 1999 tdi for the past 5 days. When i start my car first thing as i switch on the ignition after glow plug light gone off it revs to 2k-2.5k rpm for a second and then it goes down then fluctuates between 0-1k rpm for about 10 seconds. just wondering what this could be, i thought i could be the idiol valve
any help thanx?

My first impression is the same as yours mate. Do you have access to VAG-COM to see if anything might be on its way out?
