MMI Software update for Japan Import to UK

CAn anyone help with information on how to set up Janaese Import car to UK spec ie: Mileage to Miles and not KM on digital display and Nav system is saying still in Japan also radio stations are limited, I have bought Firmware update cd and SD card for sat nav but cant get them installed does someone know procedures for this

Do a search on this forum mate, someone had the same problem a few weeks back...think they were unable to change from KM-Miles.

Sd nav is coded to cars and normally a dealer/specialist job similarly with the firmware updates.
I personally would avoid these if you got them off unlicensed vendors, eBay etc, as I’ve seen these completely brick an MMI unit before on the c7 a6’s. Roughly £1k for new MMI unit. I’m more risk averse though.
I would think you might need a new MMI unit and not just an update as jap(Asian)cars will have a complete different character set to a European/American cars as a lot of Asian languages does not use your characters like a,b,c etc. Just guessing.

Hi, yes i managed to convert kilometres to miles using VCD's but i am still struggling to find out codes for UK radio frequency's and EU sat nav, has anyone done this before or is it a case of changing MMI unit ??
