Hi guys bit of technical help. I’ve got a 2007 A6 Avant S Line. Initially, my radio started playing up and seemed to keep losing signal. The whole MMI system was running really slow and laggy and it’s now got to the point where it won’t even turn on.

The boot screen loads (Audi MMI screen) but then I just get a black screen.

When it was running slow I ran a diagnostic check and a faulty antenna showed up. Since the MMI has gone off there’s no errors at all showing up?

Would a faulty antenna cause the whole thing to completely shut down?

I’ve tried pressing all the buttons, disconnecting battery etc but no luck

Thanks in advance.

Need to post up a scan or the results of a optical bus diagnostics scan.

If that’s on VCDS then unfortunately I haven’t got that. I’m using a basic Carista scanner.

I’ve just ran another and now it’s sayint 00384 optical databus under the heading “can network gateway”

Google seems to say it could be a wiring issue?

Thanks for that. Think I may need to just get VCDS and give it a looksie. I’ll post the results. Cheers guys
