MMI Control Unit compatibility

Looking to fit an MMI Control Unit with FBAS input into my A6.
All the ones I'm finding are from an A8 though.
Will the A8 unit work in the A6? If so, will there be any differences?

Software is different (MU Version), your best off trying to find an A6 version.
