Hey,

Can anyone please confirm if the heating/locking/unlocking/carstatus control is available through the app here in the uk?

Not yet, there's an update coming at some point to enable this according to Audi UK and North East Audi

ah ok cheers for the info! it would be so nice during winter times to have the pre heating app :D

You will only get preheating, if you have the preheating option on the car - which l don't think was an option here in the UK as The UK is not deemed cold enough to require it.....

urghh! thats such ashame :/

How cold does it have to be.....we don't have that option in Canada either.
Meanwhile in Canada

I followed the instructions to register the key code on MyAudi so you can get the 'scheduling' services as well as the 'infotainment' services via MMI Connect but it won't accept my key code in the car MMI. I wonder if I need to wait for the Audi servers to sync or something.. Has anyone else successfully logged in using their key code instead of the MyAudi MMI Connect vehicle pin?

I didn't know you could log in with the key code? Where does it allow you to out that in?

My salesman phoned me yesterday as he's just got back from a course in Germany. He told me to keep my key code handy as there are some interesting things coming soon!

I spoke to Audi UK and Audi AG today and they are looking into why my code doesn't work. I'll post any updates as they come. I know remote locking and heating control/scheduling are two options, don't know of any others.

So where's this 'Audi Connect User Management' where I put my key code in?
It's not in Audi Connect or any other menu settings on the MMI!!

You have to register yourself as the primary user on the my Audi website then logout of Audi Connect in the car and log back in using your normal username but instead of the password, you need to use the code in the plastic tag that comes with keys. You have to scratch off a silver panel to see the code.

I agree but I was just wondering why Jag offer it and Audi don't, it's the same category of vehicle in the same climate!

Quite, perhaps it just to satisfy those who want to pay for everything when they don't really need it ;-)

Can anyone confirm that this works?

I was told it's only for MY17 cars onwards (which mine is)

It's not in Audi Connect or any other menu settings on the MMI!!

  • Start your vehicle

  • Press the Menu function button on the MMI® system and choose “Audi connect” in the MMI® display

  • Open the options menu

  • Select “Audi connect user management”

  • Select “Key user”

  • Select “Set key user”

  • Enter your myAudi account User name exactly as is re ected in the registration email

  • NOTE: The “User name” is your myAudi account User email, this information is case sensitive as such

we recommend using the ‘speller’ to enter your data rather than the touch pad.

  • The vehicle code is found inside the plastic tag that is attached to one of your keys. Open the tag and scratch o the top to uncover the 10 digit code. Enter this code into the “Vehicle code” eld.

  • Select Log in.

  • Congratulations, you have now completed the Audi connect registration process.

MY17 started on week 22 which was the week commencing 30 May 2016, so no yours will be MY2016 but it sounds like this doesn't make a difference. I think it's a software update thing.

tried out signing in with my registered email address and the code on the spare key in the password field and it didn't work - got the wrong password message.

Also has anyone else got a load of placeholder text in the Audi Connect right click menu?

Exactly the same for me and yes I have a load of code appearing as one option and if I click on it it appears to be 'About' Audi Connect

yep works fine...

I heard back from Audi, apparently this hasn't been launched in the UK yet and you have to have some form of SOS option which isn't available here yet. I'm not sure if this is true. Are you based on the UK Veltror?

yep uk, I have made myself the key user by using the userid from my audi and the 10 digit code from the key fob now i can remote lock/unlock, vehicle status etc

Ok I was lied to today by the product development specialist, think he is regional.

Are you using an after market SIM card for data services in the car or do you have a full Audi Connect subscription?

@jwa1 You still have to have an aftermarket SIM card to get the full Audi Connect services. I've got it in mine.
Don't believe the brochure when it says it's all complete with the Tech Pack! It's not!

Well yeah that's what I was beginning to elude to.. So you think if I get a SIM for the socket in the glove box I'll get services such as remote unlock?

Could you post some photos of each step just so I can make sure I'm doing it right?
