My mate has just got a matt black painted car and got me thinking on what's the best way to look after it!

Surely it can't be waxed/polished!

He's also got a few dings & small dents but fearful of getting the PDR kit on it for fear of removing the paint/marking it (has been resprayed matt black, not original colour)

Iv got matte black wheels on my car (not the same as panels I know) but I searched ages for a cleaning solution for them.

In the end I just used watered down bilberry.

I would say he couldn't polish it because it would make it shine but I think a wax would still give the Matt effect just add more depth to the colour. That's what I found with the wheels any way.

There's becoming more and more Matte cars now a days so there will probably be more products soon as a market is developing for them

Chemical Guys Meticulous Matte Detailer. Suitable for most matte surfaces and offers some protection for them against the elements.
