I’m an absolute amateur when it comes to parts and I need some help identifying this one (pictures attached). I think it’s the master cylinder that’s snapped?
Unfortunately this little part caused me a lot of trouble on the weekend. The plastic rod unexpectedly snapped, the clutch fell through the floor causing my foot to slip & block the underside of the brake & I ended up in the back of someone. Although the situation was rather unlucky, I feel rather fortunate that I didn’t hit a pedestrian crossing the road and really hurt someone.
Just left with a frustrating insurance claim & a part that needs repairing that’s not covered so any help would be greatly appreciated
I drive a Manual S3 8V (wish I went for the s-tronic now lol)
