Manchester area tuning/garages

Hello all, this is for all the members in the Manchester area. Can any of you recommend a garage/tuners local to Manchester where you have been going for years and always had good honest service with no damage to your car?

I've used Awesome GTI with previous cars, can't fault them.

AWESOME GTI all the way fella, everyone i know highly recommends them, and anyone that has been there will tell you how good they are, what they dont know about mapping and tuning german whips aint worth knowing lol

I only ever had bad experiences at Awesome, they just want your money.
Took them 3 attempts to get my Milltek fitted, and numerous other faults and had to take my car back several times.

I would recommend Unit20 in Chester for tuning, very recommended. Unit 20 - Audi S and RS specialists
For maintenance work I recommend VAG Technik in Eccles VAG Technik - Manchester based independent Volkswagen, Audi Group Specialist (tell them Dan with the S3 sent you)

I've spoken with Rick @ Unicorn motor developments - heard his mapping is very good. James at the Audi doctor have you used him much? Always been happy with the work? Have you had any engine work done with him?

He does my servicing, dads R8 and mums rs6. Good lad. Knows his stuff. Very reasonable and proper petrol head too. Couple of B5 S4s running over 500hp and other stuff.

Rick mapped my car the other week. Very impressed with his knowledge and he got the most out of my car. he writes all the maps himself and they are tailored to what you want from the car. Think he is more known for high power petrol turbo cars flat shifts, launch control , multiple maps etc.
His B5 S4 is a right machine .

yes UNIT20 built my block, also know of other s3 and a3's that go there they are highly recommended!

We take the RS to Grizz for its big jobs,


As for tuning I recommend Rick @ Unicorn Motorsport Developments, Rick did our RS & S3 maps
