maf sensor

Guys,

does anyone know if the maf sensor on the 99 S3 is the same as a 02 golf TDI 150bhp.

now the part numbers are different but is that because its been updated??? anyone ?? if so should it be a direct replacement??

I doubt very much that they are the same, and normally an update just changes the revision letter at the end of the number, not a complete number except in unusual cases.
