MAF Sensor Problem?

Hi,

Hopefully someone can help me? I own a 04 plate S4 Avant and, over the last few days I have noticed that when accelerating at low revs the car seems to have developed a 'flat spot'. It seems to do it in 3rd and 4th gears.

Could this be the MAF sensor on its way out?

Won't be a boost link on an S4 as it's an N/A engine.

It could be one of a number of things, it would pay to get it scanned before spending too much. I understand you can disconnect the MAF and if it remains the same then that would eliminate it.
