Had my custom stage 2 tune, MAF never read over 190g's sooooometimes getting up to about 198....this is a fully custom "stage 2" on a BAM 225 so stock reading is around 190. Always wondered why these numbers were so low. Albeit the tuner should have spotted this.... :S

I was running the MAF sensor with code f 00c 2g2 049 which appears to be for a K03 turbo. Changed to model number 0 280 218 065 and now I'm seeing huge numbers.

Couple of questions, my tuner can take a while to reply 1) This will need a retune now that the flow is much much higher? / The MAF is entirely different and 2) 264g/s = 320ishhp....this is a heavy tune running 550cc, high flow fuel pump and aaaallll the stage 2 mods, these numbers almost seem to high?

There seems to be ALOT of different numbers, ideas, opinions on which MAF goes with which engine code, even amongst AUDI retailers...

My car is now boosting very hard but keeps going into limp and my CEL comes on with a G70 max limit exceeded code every now and then if i floor it to red line.

I feel this is the tune more than the sensor itself? Is this the right assumption?
 
would this be causing the low readings? It never threw a CEL
 
hmmm annoying, I only use genuine Bosch. Means it died in about 2 months from being brand new, could the tune have killed it?
 
yep F 00C 2G2049 is what I had/have, so the tune could have killed it? It was 2 months old from brand new direct from Bosch
 
06A906461MX is the number for the housing + sensor, our numbers are sensor alone, I'll probably just order the MX anyway so I can sell off the housing
 
you can but usually easier to get it with the housing,
