MAF - is it a sign?

Got some sudden/jerky loss of power and the EPC light on Saturday, so popped out the MAF and cleaned it up with some solvent and ear buds.

Haven't done many miles since but the EPC light is out and things feel good again.

I know I need to clear the codes, but is it likely that I'll need to replace the MAF soon or does a quick clean mean it'll be like new?

Following this up - the problems kept happening after a couple of days - EPC light on, stalling, kangarooing, erratic throttle response, tick-over at 1200rpm. Thing is they also happen with the MAF unplugged so I'm thinking it isn't the cause.

I'll get it scanned, but any guesses?

Would point to Maf if you unplug and still runs bad.
