lumpy tickover - sounds like an impreza! help!

recently took my engine out, as was changing the clutch so dropped the engine to give it a good clean because it was covered in old oil from over the years. Now it runs like a bag of nails, sounds like an impreza if you listen to it from the rear! anybody have any ideas, im kinda stumped!

strange thing is there isnt anything coming up on the dash, it quite happy to chuge away! does coilpacks throw up the engine man light?

When mine have failed i've had no eml's, it just sounded like a scooby lol

nippped down to the garage tonight, thought about diconnecting one at a time to see if it made a differance. didnt make differance which one i diconnected! just sounded the same throughout!

Have you scanned the engine for fault codes?

no not yet havnt got anything to scan with, will it find faults even tho ive had no eml's come on?

Yep, coil pack. Change all 4.

il see if i can get a hold of some to try it before i splash out on some. seems strange it drove into the garage fine, week later it running like a bag of nails soon as i started it!

Problem solved! was a vacum pipe that goes on to the servo! once i pluged it in it ran fine plus the brakes worked plus the clutch worked! phew!
