Lower Engine Mount

hi all

Went under the A3 today and noticed that the lower engine mount was soft. I've been experiencing the engine rocking on idle and around 60mph. There's a very small split in the rubber too.

Was just wondering what would be the best fix - replace the round lower mount in the subframe or use one of the polyurethane inserts to firm it up?

I can only suggest that it should be replaced, anything else would be a band aid. You'd kick yourself if you half did this and it all went Pete Tong, the cost of it dying completely would surely be much worse.

Yeah just going to get it done with an original part, bolts etc.

Meant to be a subframe off job I think????
